It's only a matter of style

Today I added a second layer of diluted white glue on the base to seal the rocks on the base. While the glue was drying I initiated the 3D printing of the infantry regiment base and I also started to debase the miniatures I get in the massive darkness ratling enemies box. I'll mix them with some game workshop storm troops and clan warriors to build 2 Horde of shock-troops. Painting will have to homogenize the 3 model types into 1 coherent horde.

Didn't had many time today. I prepared tomorow 3D printing, a normal infantry regiment one featuring a celtic runic knot model. I'm hoping the settings which made the square 50mm base successful will also works for this larger one. I also spent a few minutes verifying the truth of Grand Master Peter Jackson tips : Don't lose time to make a damaged model. Make it clean, then and only then randomly dommage it manually. It's way faster and the result is way better. ( I'm actually not sure of the credit, but I'm almost certain I heard that in the Lord of the Ring's behind the scene bonus)

After a few failed attempts, I finally got a decent base. Now, I "only" have to design a few more coat of arms and tiles pattern do decorate the floor. Ho and also print many bases and rebase my whole skaven army onto homogenous 3d printed ruined floor multibases...

I finished my demon spawn today. It's not perfect, but as I mentioned earlier it's only a replacement until the real one get ready... For the tournament that is coming next April I'll look for a second Blight Lord miniature, a new vermintide regiment, and many multibase. Back to 3D printing attemps tomorow! ( Did you noticed I got photobombed by my cat ? 😂 )

Paint job in progress...

I played a 2000 point training game against Kentx to prepare next Rotomagus.  I was previously using mainly Brutte as domage dealer. I will not anymore. I tested Shocktroops for the very first time and felt in love ! ( Okay I did some math before including them and they did exactly what I was hoping for - kicking ass ). I used some proxy, I now have to paint some appropriately... We played the scenario 4 of the Clash of King book which requires to hold the table center. Mission complete, at the end of the turn 5 it became obvious that no dwarf would survive to the end of the turn 6 - a Greater Earth Elemental , an Ironclad regiment and 3 character were remaining, with 3 of them wavered. At this point the sum of the ratkin lost were a Brutte horde and some Vermintides ...

Today I mainly drybrushed the green smoke. I chose this color to be consistant with the remaining of my ratkin army as the miniature will act as a demonspawn until my Vermin Lord get ready to met the board.

Today nothing really exciting happened. I base coated the demon miniature. This first layer allowed me to better plan the final colors of this demonspawn.

Today I finished the Brutte as expected.As usual, the final details take many time to do. While posting yesterday I realized the rope belt was still totally unpaint. I fixed that today ! I also prepared tomorow painting session by priming the next miniature. It's a demon lord coming from an extansion of the game "Folklore : The Affliction".

Today I painted one of the many converted Rat Ogors I had from the "Spire of Dawn" warhammer box I bought. It is almost finished, I only have to tweak some details and add some metallic layers... coming soon. It will be part of a Brutte horde for my Ratkin army.
